My Story
My Scentsy story is NOT anything super fascinating, but I will say it has been one heck of a journey!! I started selling Scentsy in July of 2010. I met with my sponsor and we discussed my desire to do a fundraiser for my daughter's show choir expenses. Having two very active girls, their financial needs were way beyond my reach. Although the activities they are involved in do some fundraising, I was looking for something different...something that would really grab people's attention, and something I could make more than $20.00 on....I decided to do a "fundraising" party and invited EVERYONE I could think of....afterall, not a lot of my friends had heard of Scentsy and, in my opinion, it was something that I thought everyone would LOVE. I really felt like my friends and family would rather pay a little bit more for a Scentsy warmer and wax and have something they could keep forever than to buy wrapping paper or nuts and candy and pay OUTRAGEOUS prices and have nothing to show for it. Besides, I really like the smell of candles, so how could I lose, right? I started my party off taking outside orders from people I knew would not come and immediately sold over $500.00 in product...my mind started wondering....if it was that easy to get $500 in orders, wouldn't this product be easy to sell....if all of my friends and family purchased warmers...wouldn't they need replacement wax eventually? You be they would!! I turned my "fundraising" party into my business launch party and have been having a BLAST selling!! I have a constant fundraiser for the girls...obviously they haven't slowed down!! I am able to pay for show choir, travel softball, cheerleading, dance AND still have money left over. I have met HUNDREDS of new people and take GREAT PRIDE in the satisfaction that my customers get from the product Scentsy offers!It is a truly awesome company and I have not met ONE PERSON involved with the company that is not a truely giving person!
